Dr John Duignan
I started the medical practice in 1998 after studying in Trinity College Dublin (TCD), postgraduate training on the newly developed TCD General Practice scheme with additional time in Psychiatry to learn skills to help patients manage stress. After further time abroad, my wife Helene, practice nurse, and I worked full time in the community of Stillorgan until 2019. Half of this time was spent training younger doctors who were entering General Practice as a career.
I continue to work part time in Stillorgan Medical Centre and devote a weekly session to addressing Lifestyle and Nutritional Medicine. This area greatly interests me as it empowers patients in dealing with challenges as wide ranging as Fertility, Chronic Disease improvement, weight management and ageing well. |
